Educational Cartoon

Pixton Cartoon Link

My experience with using the Pixtoon website was fairly easy. It was not hard to use. It was actually really fun to do and I can see how it could take your students hours to complete 3 frames. They get to position the characters in a variety of ways and put them in many different situations.

When trying to educate young children, you are always looking for ways to catch them. The use of cartoons is a great concept especially for young children that are still of the mindset that cartoons are real. This concept can be used for older students that enjoy creating different things such as comics themselves or video games. They are great study guide resources. Since it is given in a comedic form, the information given is easily remembered. Some other uses of the comic strips are practice new vocabulary words, promote team collaboration, practice conversation skills, and introducing creative writing. Writing is difficult for younger students because they cannot express their thoughts on paper.
